Black or Silver Cross Necklace, Engraved Men Necklace

Description

A small stainless steel cross necklace, engraved with the words that matter to you. The cross is 2 cm wide by 2.5 cm long (0.79 by 0.98 inch), in silver or black, shiny on the front and matte on the back, on a 3 mm box chain. Engrave the front, the back or both, so it can carry a verse on the front and a name or a date on the back, or order it plain.

How to order

1) Pick your Color: Silver or Black.
2) Pick your Necklace length: 18, 20, 22 or 24 inches.
3) Choose your engraving, one of four ways. No engraving: leave both engraving boxes empty. Front only: type your text in Engrave Front Side. Back only: type your text in Engrave Back Side. Front and back: fill in both. Each side has its own box and its own price.
4) If you engrave, choose the Engrave Orientation: Long Side (vertical) or Short Side (horizontal). It applies to every side you engrave.
5) Pick your Engrave Font. Times New Roman is used if you leave it.

Engraving

Long Side (vertical) runs down the long arm and takes up to 20 characters. Short Side (horizontal) runs across and takes up to 15. Spaces count. The longer the text, the smaller the letters. We engrave exactly what you write, so check the spelling and the capitals before you order.

The cross has a real front and back, so it is not reversible. The front is shiny and slightly curved. The back is matte and is the side that rests against you. If you engrave both sides and want a different orientation on each, say so in the order note at checkout.

On a black cross the engraving comes out white and is deliberately shallow, because the laser removes only the black coating to expose the metal underneath. On a silver cross the engraving comes out dark and deeper, enough to feel under a fingertip.

Fonts: the nineteen fonts are Arial, Times New Roman, Gabriola, Great Vibes, Book Antiqua, Dancing Script, Century, French Script, Freestyle Script, Poiret One, NSimSun, Sacramento, Didact Gothic, Fira Sans Condensed, Pirata One, Sancreek, Shojumaru, Copperplate Gothic Bold and Copperplate Gothic Light. One of the product photos shows them side by side.

Symbols we can engrave include a heart (♥), a cross (†), an infinity sign (∞), a Latin dot (•) as in XI•XI•MMXVI and a middle dot (·) as in I·XXII·MMXIX. For Roman numerals, write your date in the engraving box and ask us to convert it, with the separator you want. We engrave exactly what you write, so we convert only when you ask.

Size

Cross: 2 cm wide by 2.5 cm long (0.79 by 0.98 inch), with arms 6 mm wide (0.24 inch) and 4 mm thick (0.16 inch). Chain: 3 mm box chain, 18 to 24 inches. For a custom length, message us before ordering and we will make it for you.

Material: Stainless steel, cross and chain. It does not rust, does not tarnish, and is safe for sensitive skin.

Chain: you are not locked into the length you order. The cross slides off its chain, so a different length is a chain swap you can do yourself, no tools, and we sell the 3 mm box chain separately in every length.
